Horseheath starts watering today for the first time ever, due to the risk of firm ground by Saturday. It was good to firm ground when walked on Monday and the aim is to maintain this for racing. The course is level with a good covering of grass and fresh ground around the bends.
A natural source of running water is several miles away which is why watering has not been an option in the past, however, due to the generosity of the course owners water from a private lake is to be used.
