At lunchtime on Friday March 18th, clerk of the course Michael Gingell reported that the going was 'good to firm' at Cottenham with all the bends having been moved since last month's meeting.
Michael would have watered, but substantial rain was forecast for Friday morning which never materialised and it is now too close to the meeting to get on the course.
As we found out at Ampton last week, although the course may walk 'firm' there is definitely some juice in the ground.
