Went to Northaw yesterday - two questions 1. Any news on Kelly Smith - it was announced she was injured before the race had even started. Hope she is OK 2. Apart from the unwelcome attentions of some rain clouds I found it a very dry afternoon. Is there really no beer tent or bar, or am I just unobservant? Given the vast crowds surely a missed opportunity for some profit.
There hasn't been a beer tent at Northaw for years. It wasn't uncommon for fights to break out in them so they don't have one nowadays. Mind you after Patrick Hutchinson's exploits in the Dingley and Garthorpe weighing rooms recently they are probably just as well reinstating them!
