We are making every attempt this year to achieve the best possible ground for the East Kent fixture, and to this end watering of the course at Aldington will commence next Monday (April 11). I would be very pleased to hear comments/opinions of the ground at Godstone last weekend after the Southdown's use of the Aera-vator. I've spoken at length to Scott Brickell and have provisionally booked it for Aldington, but am naturally anxious to hear everyone's views who had runners there...did it help? The organisers at Lockinge on Easter Monday also plan to use this piece of equipment which apparently 'lifts' turf to give a spongier surface.
